A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Biodiversity Dynamics research group, at the Lab of Ecology, Systematics & Evolution, at the University of Paris-XI, Orsay, France to work on the Invacost program.
The postdoctoral researcher will lead a study on the economic cost of invasive species.
Salary will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate. For a first position after the PhD, the net salary is ~2000€. For senior researchers applying, the salary will be higher (the duration of the contract may be reduced in proportion to the salary overrun). Social security and unemployment benefits from the French system. This is a 12 month, full-time position, with possibility to extend.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. and a documented experience in ecology or conservation. An experience in environmental economics is not indispensable, but would be a clear plus.
